The opener clubbed nine sixes and three boundaries for her maiden white-ball century. She reached her fifty off just 24 balls.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made 40 off 33 after Smriti Mandhana's 19-ball 37 that gave India a powerful start, making 72 in six overs.
Mandhana's brief but entertaining stay in the middle took her into the history books as the leading run-getter in Women's T20Is.
The left-hand opener has taken her career T20I runs tally to 4,788, going past Suzie Bates of New Zealand (4,758). Harmanpreet is third in the all-time list, but almost 500 runs behind her teammate.
That said, an India-Pakistan showdown in the women's cricket final is not happening as Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the first semifinal earlier on the day.
Harmanpreet Kaur's India would hope to join the Lankans in the final, and add another continental gold, having secured the Asia Cup title.
India won the Asian Games gold last year and should be hoping to continue their dominance.
The team had refused to collect the Asia Cup won earlier this month, as the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) took a political stand against accepting trophies from Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistan, who is the chief of the Asian Cricket Council.
Diplomatic tension between India and Pakistan remains high, and it is quite visible on a cricket ground.
